Our Story
Michael Sheeran and his incredible life.
Mike Sheeran was a friend to all and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness.
In July of 2006, Mike was diagnosed with a high grade, aggressive astrocytoma brain tumor. After bravely battling for 17-years Mike passed away on November 2, 2023.
More than anything Mike loved his family. He was married to his high school sweetheart Jeanine for 19 years and was a loving dad Liam, Anna, and Stella, the absolute lights of his life.
Born and raised in Oak Lawn, Mike was a proud graduate of St. Gerald’s, Marist High School, and Eastern Michigan University. Mike worked his entire career with Walsh Construction, and his job brought him and Jeanine to Olympia, Washington, to raise their family and make many new friends.
But Chicago and all it entails remained in Mike’s heart and he was a constant visitor back to his hometown to see his parents, Mary and Paddy (Belmullet, Co. Mayo); his siblings Brendan, Sean, and Laura; and a whole gang of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Following this tragedy, The Michael Sheeran Memorial Fund was established in order to aid and support Jeanine, Liam, Anna and Stella during this difficult time.
Please consider joining us in our mission to help bring healing to a family that greatly deserves it.
